We’re hiring an experienced Vessel Fitter for our Northwest Houston area client! We are looking for skilled heavy-fabrication professionals with pressure vessel fitting experience who are ready to interview immediately!

DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:

Job Title: Vessel Fitter
Location: Northwest Houston, TX 77041
Pay: $18.00–$28.00/hour (based on experience and skill level)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 PM–5:30 AM.(Overtime available with occasional Saturdays as needed; Saturday work is typically communicated on Thursdays)
Duration: Temp-to-Hire

Description of Duties: Fit and fabricate large vessels, towers, and smaller pressure vessel components using carbon steel and stainless steel. Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine proper layout, dimensions, fit-up, and manufacturing sequence. Measure, position, align, and verify components before welding and check completed fit-ups using appropriate precision measuring tools. Utilize flame cutting torches, carbon arc gouging, plasma cutting equipment, portable grinders, welding equipment, and other fitting and fabrication tools.

Requirements: Previous hands-on experience fitting and fabricating pressure vessels, large vessels, towers, or similar heavy-fabricated equipment required. Must be proficient in reading a tape measure or ruler to 1/16″ or smaller and interpreting engineering drawings. Candidates must be able to calculate degrees, angles, and circumference using basic algebra and geometry and understand the manufacturing sequence within a vessel fabrication shop. Experience working with carbon steel and/or stainless steel and using welding, cutting, grinding, and fitting equipment is required.
