We’re hiring a Mechanical Designer for our West Houston area client! We are looking for experienced, reliable, hard-working employees who can interview immediately!

DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:

· Job Title: Mechanical Designer
· Location: West Houston area
· Pay: $32–$36/hr. DOE
· Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
· Duration: Temp-to-Hire
· Description of Duties: Develop mechanical designs, 3D models, production drawings, and bills of materials to support customer applications and engineering projects. Partner with Engineering, Service, Sales, and other internal teams to develop practical and cost-effective technical solutions. Create customized designs while following applicable industry standards and product guidelines. Prepare technical documentation and maintain drawings, part numbers, and project information within company systems. Support quoting and order activities by providing technical information and application guidance. Assist with project implementation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in Lean and Quality Management activities and support improvements within production and warehouse operations.
· Requirements: High school diploma plus a degree or certificate in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline required. Minimum of 2 years of related experience in mechanical design, technical development, manufacturing, distribution, or field service environments. Manufacturing design experience preferred. Strong skills in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD, including 3D modeling and creation of detailed production and layout drawings. Knowledge of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, metals, plastics, and related materials. Experience with technical problem-solving, root cause analysis, and project coordination preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office required; SAP or other ERP/CRM experience is a plus. Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams required. Valid driver’s license and valid passport, or ability to obtain one, required. Ability to travel up to 25% and occasionally work outside normal business hours. Must be able to work in office, manufacturing, and job site environments, including occasional exposure to heat, cold, confined spaces, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
