We’re hiring an experienced Vessel Welder for our Northwest Houston area client! We are looking for skilled pressure vessel welders with strong 6G pipe welding experience who are ready to interview immediately!

DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:

Job Title: Vessel Welder NIGHTS
Location: Northwest Houston, TX 77041
Pay: $16.00–$22.00/hour (based on experience and weld test results)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 PM–5:30 AM. (Overtime available with occasional Saturdays as needed; Saturday work is typically communicated on Thursdays)
Duration: Temp-to-Hire

Description of Duties: Perform advanced welding and fabrication of pressure vessels, vessel shells, nozzles, couplings, and related components according to engineering drawings, work orders, and established welding procedures. Utilize SMAW (Stick), GMAW (MIG), FCAW (Flux Core), and gouging processes on 2″–6″ pipe in the 6G fixed position with uphill progression. Set up components, control heat input, and maintain proper tolerances, levels, and angles throughout the welding process. Perform full-penetration nozzle-to-shell welds according to welding specifications and inspect work to ensure quality requirements are met.

Requirements: Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on vessel welding/fabrication experience required. Must have experience with SMAW, GMAW/MIG, FCAW, and gouging and be able to read and follow welding procedures and engineering drawings. Candidates must understand heat control, weld tolerances, root passes, and full-penetration welding on vessel components. Must successfully complete required employer performance testing, including 6G weld tests on 6-inch and 2-inch pipe at a 45-degree fixed position.

Physical Requirements: This position is performed entirely in an industrial fabrication shop with exposure to welding fumes, arc flash, grinding debris, high noise levels, and other typical shop conditions. Must be able to stand for extended periods and regularly walk, climb, bend, stoop, push, pull, and handle materials weighing up to 45 lbs.
