A highly diverse custom steel fabrication company in the Splendora area is currently hiring an experienced Procurement / Purchasing Manager to join their team! This role will oversee the purchasing of materials, equipment, and supplies needed to support production while negotiating with vendors, managing costs, monitoring inventory, and ensuring materials arrive when needed to keep projects on schedule.
Salary: $85,000–$115,000/year, depending on experience

The perfect Procurement / Purchasing Manager for our client will have:
- Strong purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment; steel purchasing experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of materials such as carbon steel, aluminum, pipe, valves, fittings, paint, and other industrial products.
- Proven ability to negotiate pricing, evaluate suppliers, control purchasing costs, and manage vendor relationships.
- Experience tracking inventory, deliveries, pricing trends, and material requirements in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Experience working within a structured quality management system; exposure to API, AISC, ASME, or ISO standards is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; extensive relevant purchasing experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with computerized purchasing, inventory management, or ERP systems preferred.
