DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:

• Job Title: Picker

• Location: Houston, TX 77008

• Pay: $16.00 / hour

• Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Duration: Temp to hire

• Description of Duties:

  • Read work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

  • Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or designated areas.

  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences (size, type, style, color, or product code).

  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets/shelves, or convey orders to packing stations or shipping departments.

  • Pull orders using handheld scanners and a pallet jack or forklift.

  • Mark materials with identifying information and record amounts received or distributed according to procedures.

  • Weigh or count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards.

  • Use a computer to enter records and maintain inventory records where applicable.

• Requirements:

  • Experience operating handheld scanners and a pallet jack or forklift.

  • Ability to use a computer for data entry and inventory management.
