We’re hiring a Metalworker Fabricator  for our growing client in the Northwest Houston, TX area.

DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:

Job Title: Metalworker Fabricator Helper (Entry Level)
Location: Houston, TX 77041
Pay: $17.50 hr
Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Saturdays may be required as needed)
Duration: Temp-to-Hire

Description of Duties:

• Remove slag and grind processed steel parts using hand grinders and other tools
• Read work orders and transfer identification numbers to processed parts
• Band parts to pallets using banding materials or stretch wrap
• Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality standards are met
• Sweep and maintain shop areas, removing steel slag, scrap metal, grinding dust, and debris
• Follow company quality policies and internal quality system requirements
• Assist with preparation of nonconformance reports when necessary
• Support production operations and perform general housekeeping duties
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by plant supervision

Requirements:

• Ability to accurately measure parts using a tape measure
• Ability to read and understand work orders and customer prints
• Must be able to communicate verbally and read English
• Physically capable of lifting 1–50 pounds and performing repetitive bending, twisting, climbing, walking, and lifting
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods and withstand industrial work environments
• Able to operate a 15-pound hand grinder and chipping hammer throughout the shift
• Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays when required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable attendance and positive attitude
