DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:
Job Title: Shipping Clerk
Pay: $20.00/hour
Duration: Temp-to-Hire
Description of Duties: Coordinate daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of customer orders and deliveries. Receive, register, and process incoming shipments, packages, and materials while coordinating distribution throughout the facility. Schedule large shipments, plan logistics, and communicate with warehouse personnel to ensure adequate storage space and staffing for incoming deliveries.
Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, inventory documentation, and regular reports for management. Research and resolve shipping discrepancies, inventory issues, delivery delays, and customer concerns. Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal departments through email and phone calls to provide delivery updates, resolve problems, and ensure smooth shipping operations.
Requirements: Previous experience in shipping and receiving, logistics coordination, warehouse administration, or a related role preferred. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities are essential. Candidates should be comfortable maintaining shipping records, preparing reports, troubleshooting delivery and inventory discrepancies, and communicating directly with customers. Basic computer proficiency, email communication skills, and experience with shipping or inventory management systems are preferred. Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
