We’re hiring a Procurement Category Specialist for our Northwest Houston area client! We are looking for experienced, reliable, hard-working employees who can interview immediately!

DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:

• Job Title: Procurement Category Specialist
• Location: Northwest Houston, TX
• Pay: $31.25–$40.87/hour DOE
• Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Duration: Temp-to-Hire
• Description of Duties: Lead strategic sourcing activities for assigned MRO categories, research suppliers and market conditions to uncover cost-saving opportunities, and manage RFQs/RFPs from start to finish. Negotiate pricing and contract terms, maintain strong vendor relationships, review purchasing data, and partner with internal departments to understand procurement needs. Monitor sourcing results and key performance metrics while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field. At least 3 years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably within the oil and gas industry. Strong background in strategic sourcing, MRO procurement, RFP/RFQ processes, contract negotiations, and supplier management. Experience with Oracle Cloud/EBS, JD Edwards, or Glovia preferred. Must be analytical, self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with internal teams. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential. The position will be fully onsite for the first 30–60 days, with potential for a hybrid schedule based on performance. First interview will be virtual, followed by an in-person second interview.
